NEW ATLANTIC UNION CD TO BE RELEASED MARCH 5th
(January 15, 2005)

The second Atlantic Union album has a new title, The Whole Dance and a new release date. It includes 14 original and traditional tunes, recorded in a juicy acoustic manner. We have been having a lot of fun with this one, discovering aspects of our voices and new instrument combinations that we think you will like.

The Whole Dance features mandolin, bouzouki, violin, viola, guitar, mandocello, string bass, accordion, concertina, bodhran and bones, as well as the group's signature three-part vocal harmonies. We recorded at Spirit of the Islands Studio in Pouch Cove and completed mastering at Record Time Productions in St. John's.

We want to thank the many people who have supported our efforts including the City of St. John's and the NL Arts Council for funding, and Jean Hewson, Rick West, Rik Barron, Susan Rubin, Dave Panting, George Miminis and the Town of Pouch Cove for encouragement and support. This one has been almost a year in the making and it's exciting to see it approaching completion.

You are invited to our CD release party and concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Gower Street United Church on Saturday, March 5th. Atlantic Union will be performing two full sets that night. Food and drink will be available. Bizarre band memorabilia will be awarded as door prizes. Tickets for this event will be $6 in advance and $8 at the door. CDs will be available at a special pre-release price of $14.
